We are seeking to add an experienced mechanical engineer*designer to our team. Salary will be commensurate with experience. HVAC experience is essential.
At JDA, you will provide consulting for a wide variety of facility infrastructure needs including chiller plants, data centers, clean rooms, SCIF, hospitals and laboratories. Government and Private sector clients` appreciate JDA’s ability to evaluate and design complex, mission-critical facilities and infrastructure systems. POSITION OVERVIEW:
At JDA you will complete a variety of engineering assignments by applying standard engineering techniques and analyses. Our engineer*designer at this level has a working knowledge of engineering theories, practices and design procedures, and is capable of performing less-complex project assignments.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Successful candidate will design and draft significant and primary portions of the Mechanical and Plumbing Systems, interpreting and completing the Project Engineers design intent. Prepares sketches, diagrams, schedules and single-line layouts. Develops typical details and finished production drawings. Performs necessary calculations and estimates and assists in the preparation of specifications and design notes. Makes field investigations, obtains and maintains data in an orderly and accessible manner. Works with the Project Engineer to convey the necessary information for development of the details. Keeps immediate supervisor informed of progress or need for assistance. Makes recommendations for and assists in the formulation of design procedures. Reviews and coordinates the drawings of other disciplines.
